This is a prototype sled produced by Yamaha and distributed to motorcycle dealers throughout the snow belt for marketing purposes. They were supposed to be returned to Yamaha and destroyed, but obviously a few made it into the hands of collectors today. As of 2005, Stephen has confirmed 3 other complete sleds besides this one. They are owned by; The New Hampshire Snowmobile Museum, Richard Roy, and Craig Olsen. Stephen has spent 3 years tracking this one down before finally acquiring it. It is the heart of his Yamaha Collection.
