  • PNWVSC Moxee Hops Festival
I attended the 2006 Moxee Hops Festival - Pacific Northwest Vintge Snowmobile Club Show and Swap Meet on Saturday August 5. I had a great time checking out the sleds of the west and eating a ton of great food. This was a show and swap that was part of a cool small town festival. Other festivities included VW car display, motorcycles, live music, like I said before A TON OF FOOD, and also a moster truck show. The monster truck did some great stunts and even crushed a van. It was great to meet a few more collectors and see some of the very fine machines that have been collected and restored by members of the western states. • VSOTINW Summer Barb-Q
I was able to attend one of my favorite summer events this past weekend, the Vintage Snowmobiles Of The Inland North West Summer Babrb-Q. We dined on hamburgers, chips, and fresh cherries from the Byrd Cherry Orchard while we talked about everything from sleds to the great weather. Many members from all over the Northwest were in attendance along with a few of their sleds and engines. We had a great time, even had the chance to see a few cool sleds peform on the manicured grass. Click here for the Look Mom, No Skis Video - Staring Larry Ellifritz. BIG THANKS to the Ellifritz Family for hosting the Barb-Q.
  • Perfect 10 Landing
While in Wenatchee, WA I was visiting our great friends, Greg and Becky Byrd. A few years back while sledding around Mission Ridge, Becky decided to go for style points on her dismount. Greg gave it a perfect 10 score when it landed and pitched itself in the position showed by this picture. What are the chances? The Polaris "wedge design" must have provided great stability for verticle parking. If you have an unusual snowmobile picture, shoot us an Email.
  • Rare Bird Spotted.....
    1974 Arctic Cat 650 Sno-Pro
Here is an ultra rare sled I stumbled upon the other day, A 1974 Arctic Cat 650 Sno-Pro raced by the Arctic Cat Factory Racer, Tom Marks, in the 1973-1974 race season. This sled is currently in a very good place, but it's home would like our help. As the cat and racing expert might notice, two things are incorrect...... Back at the end of the 1973-1974 race season, the sled was retired from the factory race team and found a new home, with the request that the original hood and seat remain with Tom Marks. So, they mailed the hood and seat back to him. Here is where you can help. If you know where this historic hood might be hiding, or can give contact info for Tom Marks, please email us and help reunite this historic hood with the rightful sled. • Model T Restoration Fund Update
Thanks to a few generous donations and some money set aside by the museum directors, we are well on our way to raising the funds to completely restore our Model T Ford White Snowmobile. We know the project will be the most expensive venture we have undertaken to date. Although an exact price is not known, we can imagine it may be in the neighborhood of $5,000 - $10,000 depending on the extent of the project. We are looking for donations of all sizes, and will post our donation total as it grows. Do you have the disire or ability to donate a larger sum of money? If so, we have a few ideas. Want to have naming/advertising rights on the sides of the Model T truck bed? Want to have a brass name plate with your name on the rear bed of the truck? Want to make any size contribution just to help out? Have a service you can offer as a donation? If so, visit our Model T Restoration Page. Have a way you can help, shoot us an Email.
