Here is the update on the Bear Notch ride;
The ride is on and we are meeting at 8:00 AM on Saturday, you should plan on being at the parking lot before 8 if you want to get a spot, there has been a lot of chatter on websites about riding in Bear Notch, and we expect it to fill up fast. At this point, additional parking is questionable due to snow removal from the coming storm. If you don’t make it to the parking area before the first ride goes out, please wait for us to return for the second ride, if you do not have a NH registration you cannot ride outside of the group.
The plan for the ride has changed, we will still start about 8 for the short ride, but due to some questionable trails along the rail bed, the big loop is not possible. There are still plenty of trails to ride in the notch.
We are planning to be at the restaurant for 11 AM for lunch, since we can’t incorporate it into the big loop ride. We do plan on continuing to ride after the lunch stop. The owner of the restaurant suggested that we get in there when they open at 11, so that they will have enough room for our group. For anyone that does not want to stop for lunch, we can put together a group to continue riding, and meet up at the parking area later.
